Standard Series Drain Plug

The Standard Series is the original concept, now with over 20 years of application in the workplace. The design has changed little since its inception, robust and reliable, it is the most popular model due to the wide ranging thread sizes and lengths available. The Standard Series is the most customisable plug, with different lengths of turned body portion available to match casing thickness and counterbore depth.

The Standard Series is divided into 2 sub groups:

* Small Bottom (SB) which has a thread size range of M12 - M22, ½" - 7/8"

* Large Bottom (LB) which has a thread size range of M12 - M50, ½" - 2"

The SB group of drain plugs use an 22 mm outlet thread onto a 12.5 mm PVC hose, allowing great control of oil flow from the engine sump to whatever collection vessel is to be used. This range of small drain plug is ideally suited to smaller engines where anything larger would look inappropriate. The LB group of drain plugs use a 26 mm outlet thread onto a 19 mm PVC hose, so allows an increased flow rate on larger thread sizes, whilst also maintaining a high level of control. The main benefit of the LB group of drain plugs is that on a large fleet of vehicles, with a range of different engines, the end fitting can remain standard over all of the drain plugs. That allows the servicing can be carried out using common equipment.
